So my Sam and I and my family went to the open house for the new draper temple. It was so much fun. We went and met at a church, and my nephew Taylor was runnin all over the place. But he was still cute. And then we went and got on a bus which chartered us to the temple. It was so neat to be there. It was cool to see all the different temples and how they are layed out and I love the stain glass! In the bride room, (ya know, where the brides get ready to go get married) and it was beautiful. The light fixtures were silver with crystal danglers. It was beautiful. Afterward we went to a chapel for refreshments. Then after that, we went for burgers. It was a fun night out. And the new temple will be beautiful. We can't wait for the Oquirrah Hill's temple to open, because my sister in law katie, her father is a glass cutter, and he cut all the glass, stained and otherwise for that temple. He does temples all over the world, even some in the Salt Lake temple. But if you haven't had a chance to go to the Draper, you really should go.

Proud of you
So I nanny my niece and nephew quite often. And I had them yesterday. Kaylee (she's 5) has dance on thursday's. While she is at dance I usually take Taylor to the park. And we usually go to the same one, and he always looks longingly at this slide that is soo tall, its the tallest one on that play set. And he never goes on it. He says its too scary. So I dont know what happened, but he was like, sara, I'm doing the big boy slide. And he gets in and goes down. He was so proud of himself. And we were in the car going back to get Kaylee from dance, and I said to him, "Taylor, I am so proud of you for going down the big boy slide. You were so brave!" And he said, "Thanks Sara, I am really proud of you too."
I dont know what I did that made him so proud. But I though tthat was so funny, and so dang cute! What a fun job I have.
Earlier when we were at the park, he found this little boy, and he just saw him from across the way, and he said "Sara, there's my friend!" And he runs over there, I know he has never seen that lil boy before. But Taylor just loves friends. And they were following eachother around, and it was so cute. They kept calling each other friend. And then Taylor was just standin there, and all the sudden his eye's start watering, and I am like what are you doin, he says," My poopin". I started laughing so hard. And then his lil friend came over, and Taylor asked him "do you have poops too?" his lil friend said, "no, I didnt poop." I was laughing so hard.
I love listening to litte kids. They have the cutest little conversations. you can learn so much from them about giving compliments, they think everyone is beautiful and funny. Oh, to be a child again.

Valentines Day
I think we had a really great time this year. Since we dont have any kids, we could kinda do what we wanted. So I got Sam a massage for friday night, then after we went to PF Changs. That was my first time there, and boy was it delicious! After, we just came home and watched a movie from Red Box. On Saturday we woke up and my mom came down stairs and she brought in this huge vase full of flowers. Take a look...
She stressed to me that they werent from her. So I read the card, and they were from my sweet husband! What a sweet heart. Yes, ladies and gentlemen this is 12 pink roses and 12 star gazer lilies! my two favorite flowers!! I love you honey! We went to go see my little brother kick some butt at his basketball game. And then I made waffles (for the first time mind you) for Sam. I wanted to cook something for him. They turned out really good! I was so excited. After that, we just cleaned the house. Then we went to get a small dinner at Training Table, we didnt want to spend much because we went out to PF Changs. Then we went to a dollar movie. It was the best date. Every one and there grandma went to the dollar movies that night too. Good thing we got in line about 25 min early!! We went to see 7 pounds with Will Smith. If you havent seen that movie yet, I think you really should. It was so touching and a great show!
And That was our Valentines Day. We spread it out for like two days. Oh PS if you live in Utah County, or you dont mind driving there, we have this friend that seriously is the BEST at doing massages! so let me know if you want her number. She does it out of her parents house, and it is just there in American Fork. And I would recommend her to anyone.
I hope that everyone else had a great Valentines Day! Love you all!!!

SUpeRBowL SuNdAy!!!
If you know my husband very well, you know that Sam lives for football. Whether he is playing, or college games, or NFL, or a pick up game in the rain. ALL OF IT. He can talk about it forever. So of course, superbowl sunday is like the best day ever for him. Its a party all for football! So I had gone shopping for so much food to make. There was foot-long sandwhiches, there were chicken tenders, there was bean dip and drinks. Plus a lot more. Just look below. Sam is usually a Steeler's fan, (also they are kinda our name sake) and he has loved them forever. And I am originally from Mesa Arizona, and so I had to go for the Cardinals. And sam actually decided to go for the underdogs. He mostly just hoped for a REALLY good game. Which you all can agree, it was a very good game. Anyway, We are sad the Cards lost, but really happy the Steeler's won! Here is some pictures.

Bob MarLey's BiRthDAy!!!
So this weekend it Bob Marley's birthday. And if you know anything about us, we love Bob Marley. He was born on Feb 6th, and that would be this friday. He passed away on May 11th, of cancer. His last words were to his son Ziggy, and they were "Money can't buy life!" I think that is so true. One thing that he said, that I think is so true, becuase it will be my children's life, "I don't have prejudice against meself. My father was a white and my mother was black. Them call me half-caste or whatever. Me don't dip on nobody's side. Me don't dip on the black man's side nor the white man's side. Me dip on God's side, the one who create me and cause me to come from black and white."
He was born to a white father and a black mother. And my children will be born to a white mother and a brown father, and I have been wondering what my children will think about that. And so that was good to hear Bob's stand on things.
Some of our friends are "playing tribute" to him this friday at a club in park city, called Harry O's. on Friday Feb 6th. The band is Natural Root's. All is welcome to come at hear Reggae music and celebrate Bob Marley's life.
To hear some of the songs, just go to there myspace page. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=54936874
