The Year 2007, the longest blog ever

2007- We just want to let everyone know about our year.  We got in a car accident in Feb and I hurt my ankle really bad, and was in a walking boot until June!  Then I had my birthday and turned 23, and Sammy had his birthday a week later and he turned the big 'ol 30!!!  But, on my birthday we got engaged, up in Park City.  That was fun, especially since Sam didn't ask my dad for permission!  When we got engaged they were on a cruise, so we had to hide it from people for a couple days and that was no fun.  Soon after my engagement my lil brother Richie decided he would get engaged as well, and he was going to get married on June 1st!  So, he leapfrogged our wedding, and he had a very nice wedding on June 1st, which was also the same day that my sweet grandfather died.  Grandpa was living in a nursing home and couldn't have made the wedding but we joke that he died on that day so he could make it to his grandson's wedding in spirit.  He died shortly before the wedding, so he probably did make it!  Anyway, we had a wedding and a funeral!  For a year in advance my family had planned for a week to Orlando.  That was so much fun!  We went to the beach,

to Disneyworld,
,
and just hung around our hotel.  Here are some pictures of our hotel.

We also made it to a pro baseball game in Tampa Bay and watched the Tampa Bay Devil Rays play the San Diego Padres.

Then about a month later, we went to our yearly Lake Powell trip on our houseboat.  That was a blast!

Sammy doing a back flip on the wake board

Doing tricks off the house boat slide

Just hanging around the boat, and playing grandpa's balls.... other activities

Then we really had to get planning our wedding.  We got married on August 22, 2007.  For those of you who didn't make it, we just had a small wedding at the Loggia Gardens at Thanksgiving Point.  Thanksgiving Point is located in Lehi, Utah.  It was so beautiful.
Me getting ready

Getting married.  Sam and my nephew, Michael was our ring bearer.  He walked down the aisle with Sam's mom and dad since Kevin (Michael's dad was the best man, and Kaylene, his mom, was the photographer) My dad married us, so my older brother Scot and his son Jack walked my mom down the aisle.  Then my bride-maids walked, then my maid of honor, my sister Beka.  Next were my flower girls, Kaylee and Abi, my niece's.  Richie and Spencer (my brothers) walked me down the aisle.

We spent the next couple of days up at Park City, and that was so much fun.
Us on the ski lift together
going down the Alpine Slide
Just a view, getting ready to go on the new Alpine Roller Coaster

Okay these are some videos of us going down the roller coaster in Park City.  Don't make fun of our faces, we were going like 30 miles an hour, and I was trying to keep ahold of our camera!!!

We didn't really get to have a honeymoon, because our Aruba trip was taken over by hurricanes.  My parents were suppose to go to Cancun but had other plans.  So since they already spent the money on Cancun they were VERY nice to send us off to Cancun the week of March 15-22.   We will definitely keep you updated on that.

We had a fun October and Halloween.  Sam was Hugh Heffner, and I was a hippie from the 70's

Uhh the guys and their costumes.

We had Thanksgiving with the Stevens, and soon after it was almost time for Christmas.  We had so much going on!
We saw a live nativity in Alpine, Utah
That is a real camel, named Moses

and then we got to see "Baby Jesus"

Richie and I didn't have our spouses there so we just had eachother

We went and saw the lights at Temple Square, every year we take TRAX downtown.

We did the Polar Express, and Santa came on Christmas Eve, and we all sat on his lap.  We had a New Year's party, here at our house, with friends and family and we stayed up playing games and most of us loved playing Guitar Hero on the X-box.  That was so much fun.  That was our 2007 year!  Hope I didn't forget anything!!
